In this editorial I wanted to highlight the ways in which re-purposing second hand clothing can ignite an imaginative way to recycle clothing.
For this project I took the roles of designer, photographer, stylist and art director. The photographs were shot on medium format, hand-developed and hand-printed. For the styling I sourced second-hand garments/fabrics and re-dyed them using vegetable scraps to enchance the pieces and give them new life. In the art direction I wanted to create a sense of playfulness to demonstrate the act of bringing new life into the old garments.
